On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Faculty of Psychology at RAO University (Afghanistan) organized a scientific and awareness-raising webinar titled “Peace of Mind, the Beginning of Hope.”

The purpose of this event was to promote a culture of attention to mental health, increase public awareness about the importance of mental well-being, and strengthen the spirit of hope in personal and social life.

At the beginning of the session, Dr. Vida Namdari, Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, welcomed the participants and emphasized the need to address mental health issues amid today’s complex social and psychological challenges. She highlighted the role of academic discussions in improving the mental well-being of society.

Following her remarks, Dr. Farnaz Abdolmohammadian, Dr. Narges Barati, and Dr. Sara Sayadi, faculty members of the university, discussed various aspects of mental health, the role of peace of mind in fostering hope, and the impact of mental well-being on quality of life. They presented scientific and practical insights, emphasizing self-awareness, stress management, and social support as essential pillars for maintaining mental health.

The webinar was moderated and facilitated by Ms. Bahara Ghalib, an active psychology student, who skillfully managed the session and created an interactive atmosphere that encouraged constructive dialogue between professors and participants.

In conclusion, several students from the Faculty of Psychology shared their personal experiences related to mental health with the audience.
