On April 24, 2026, in Paris, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Roshan Afghanistan Online University and Begum Academy by Dr. Abdul Matlab Hamed, Chairman of the Founding Board of Roshan Afghanistan Online University, and Dr. Gulab Mir Rahmany, Vice-Chancellor for International Affairs, in the presence of Ms. Mojgan Faraji, International Affairs Associate of the University, and Ms. Elissa, representative of Begum Academy.
The primary objective of this MoU is to establish a structured, continuous, and sustainable educational pathway for those girls who complete their studies at Begum Academy as students, enabling them to pursue higher education at Roshan Afghanistan Online University after graduation.
Under the terms of this agreement, Begum Academy will continue to provide online education for students in grades 7 to 12, while Roshan Afghanistan Online University will facilitate access to higher education through short-term programs, skills-based courses, and academic programs at the bachelor’s and master’s levels.
According to the provisions of this MoU, the two institutions will collaborate in key areas including the identification and selection of talented students, provision of academic support, administration of examinations, evaluation of academic progress, and issuance of educational and academic credentials. Furthermore, both parties are committed to promoting educational opportunities effectively through their respective communication channels and media platforms.
Within this framework, particular emphasis has been placed on equal access to education, strengthening academic capacities, and empowering Afghan women and girls. Both institutions have reaffirmed their commitment to delivering free, high-quality education through online platforms and facilitating continued learning opportunities for Afghan girls under current challenging circumstances.
This collaboration represents an important step toward advancing inclusive education and supporting the academic future of Afghan girls.
